Supervision of vulnerable and key worker children 1st-5th March 2021

25th Feb 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thank you for all your requests for supervision for your children.  We are delighted to be able to support you and your family at this time. The application process is now closed for the week beginning Monday 1st March.  I cannot accept any late applications as we require time to plan.  Unless I have contacted you regarding your application specifically, your child has been allocated a place.  If your circumstances change within the week and you are able to keep your child at home, we suggest that you do so, and you email/ring the school to inform us on thisThe safest thing we can do is stay at home.

A new request form will be released on Tuesday 2nd March for supervision week beginning Monday 8th March.  I would like to stress to only consider supervision in school for your child if no other options are available.

Children being supervised in school will have access to the same work which is being shared by the class teacher on seesaw if it is appropriate.  Not all activities shared on Seesaw can be completed in school, therefore we ask that you still access Seesaw daily to ensure all activities are completed, especially reading.

Children being supervised in school should wear their full school uniform.  They will require a healthy break and a packed lunch.  School dinners will not be available for any children. Children should be dropped off at school at 8.50am, if they are in P1 or P2, they should be collected at 2pm, P3-P7 should be collected at 3pm.  Nursery children should be collected at their normal time.

Entry: Primary 1 & 2 should enter the school via the normal foundation stage door.  Primary 3 & 4 should enter via the side door beside Mrs Harley's classroom.  Primary 6 & 7 should enter via their normal door near the top playground.

Do not send your child to school if they have any of the following symptoms: a new and continuous cough, a raised temperature or loss of taste/smell.  Children should not come to school if anyone within their household is symptomatic or awaiting a Covid-19 test or results.  Please wear a mask and ensure social distancing in and around the school gates.  Please ensure that you follow any one way signage on entry and exit to the school doors.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs S. McCafferty
