Dear P6 Parent/Guardian,
As part of our involvement in the Sustrans Active School Travel programme, we will be offering a cycle skills class called Pedal Ready, which will be led by Donna McFeely, our Sustrans Active Travel Officer.
The session will take place outdoors on the school playground and will focus on fun skills games (aimed at improving confidence, co-ordination, balance, and awareness). Pupils must be able to ride a bike to take part in the session.
All pupils are required to wear a helmet to take part. Please make sure the helmet fits well and adjust straps at home beforehand if necessary. Opting out of wearing a helmet must have written parent/guardian permission provided to Sustrans.
Your child must bring a safe and roadworthy bike. If a bike is deemed unsafe, then the pupil may not be able to participate in the training.
